    Welcome to the MyFragranceList community! We strive to foster an environment that promotes constructive conversation about fragrances and respectful interaction between users. To ensure our community remains positive and helpful, we’ve established the following guidelines for our Site & Forum:

    1. Respect and Empathy: Always remember the human behind the screen. Before posting, consider whether your message is something you’d say in a face-to-face conversation. Be kind, understanding, and considerate of others’ feelings and perspectives.

    2. Online Behavior: Maintain the same standards of behavior online that you would in real life. No form of harassment, discrimination, or bullying will be tolerated.

    3. Community Rules: Please familiarize yourself with these guidelines before participating in the community. Continuous disregard for the rules may result in penalties or banning from the site & forum.

    4. Quality Content: Focus on posting content that adds value to the community. Ensure your submissions are well written, interesting, and relevant to the topic of fragrances. While disagreements are expected, ensure they are handled respectfully and constructively.

    5. English only: Only contents in english language is allowed.

    6. Original Content Sources: Always attribute content to the original source when possible. This gives credit where it’s due and avoids unnecessary layers of references.

    7. Relevant Posting: Ensure your posts are relevant to the community’s focus on fragrances. Avoid posting content that may be better suited for other forums.

    8. Check for Duplicates: Before posting, search the forum to avoid duplicate posts. Re-posts of previous content are discouraged unless the original post did not receive appropriate attention.

    9. Media Linking: When sharing media files, link to the direct version of the file, especially if the original page does not provide additional context or information.

    10. Constructive Criticism: When you disagree with something, consider providing constructive criticism.

    11. Reporting Spam: Report any suspected spam or inappropriate content for review by our moderators.

    12. Self-Promotion: You are welcome to share your own content, within reason. However, if your submissions consist predominantly of self-promotion, you may be classified as a spammer. Aim for a ratio of 1:9, where only one out of every ten submissions is self-promoted content.

    13. Innocent Until Proven Guilty: Avoid making unfounded accusations against other users or their posts. Assume good faith unless there’s clear evidence to the contrary.

    14. Post Review: Double-check your submission for errors before posting.

    Prohibited Actions

    1. Illegal Activities: Do not promote or engage in illegal activities.

    2. Personal Information: Do not share or post links to personal information. This includes public social media profiles, screenshots with visible names, etc. Violations of this rule will result in immediate account deletion.

    3. Reposting Deleted/Removed Content: Do not repost information that was deleted or removed. If content was deleted, it was removed for a reason and should remain so.

    4. Rudeness: Do not be intentionally rude or disrespectful. This behavior diminishes the overall quality of our community.

    5. Trolling and Harassment: Do not troll, incite conflicts, or harass other users. Personal attacks, flame wars, and trolling disrupt the conversation and will not be tolerated.

    6. Controversial Topics: Avoid creating posts about controversial subjects, such as politics. These topics are forbbiden in the “Casual Discussions” forum too.
