.vero.profumo. is a prestigious niche brand hailing from Switzerland and founded in 2007 by the talented perfumer Vero Kern. In May 2007, the brand unveiled its first three fragrances, which were later reintroduced as eau de parfums three years later with slight composition changes. As a highly skilled perfumer and aromatologist, Vero Kern dedicated five years to meticulously crafting her initial trilogy of fragrance masterpieces, available in concentrated form within elegant small flacons that are applied directly to the skin using the cap.
The experience of wearing .vero.profumo. fragrances is nothing short of enticing, seductive, and sensual—a true celebration of timeless craftsmanship combined with contemporary innovation. The brand’s inaugural market launch featured three distinctive scents, namely Onda, Kiki, and Rubj, each encapsulating a unique feminine universe in a miniature composition. Drawing inspiration from the great classics such as Chanel No. 5, Guerlain Shalimar, and Mitsouko, .vero.profumo. perfumes honor tradition by incorporating a generous amount of natural essences. The compositions predominantly feature essential oils and absolutes, accounting for 60 to 90 percent of the overall formula in relation to synthetic components.
In an era heavily dominated by standardized, mass-produced flacons, Vero Kern decided to collaborate with a niche supplier—the historic glassworks of Normandy, managed by the same family for over a century—to create the perfect vessel for her fragrances. Traditional glassmaking techniques and the use of old-fashioned ovens were employed, resulting in a flacon design reminiscent of the 1940s. To safeguard the precious essences from the degrading effects of sunlight, dark amber glass, known as ambre foncé, was carefully chosen. Rather than mere surface spraying, the traditional method of dying the glass right through was employed. Adorned with the sleek .vero.profumo. logo, the flacons boast a stopper with a large, slightly indented textured surface that fits elegantly between the fingers.
The artistic virtuosity of Vero Profumo extends beyond her initial releases, as she has since crafted a total of 16 exquisite perfumes, with the first edition debuting in 2007 and the latest masterpiece launching in 2017. Throughout her olfactory journey, Vero Kern remains the brilliant mind behind all her creations, ensuring olfactory harmony and sheer luxury in each bottle.
