In 2020, the Urbieta14 brand was established in Donostia-San Sebastian as a project dedicated to capturing the essence of the local land and sea. Its mission is to share these unique scents with the world, paying homage to the olfactory heritage that we all share. Just like the ripples created by a stone in water or the seeds scattered by the wind, our fragrances transcend borders and offer remarkable nuances that excite our customers. These scents resonate with people of all ages, genders, and cultures, as they evoke universal smells that are familiar to us all.

With a family tradition of 70 years in the perfume industry, we realized in 2020 that the time had come to create our own brand, URBIETA14. Based in San Sebastian, in the heart of the Basque Country, our brand is driven by the desire to offer our unique essences and values to an increasingly globalized world. Gurutz Olaskoaga, the visionary behind this project, brings his extensive experience and cosmopolitan mindset to the world of fragrance. Collaborating with master perfumers, he creates each of the URBIETA14 perfumes with a meticulous blend of expertise, creativity, and skill in combining the finest raw materials available. The result is a collection of extraordinary fragrances that reflect our exceptional knowledge and know-how while paying tribute to the universal olfactory heritage shared by all of humanity.

The legacy of our Urbieta14 brand traces back to 1954 when Francisco Olaskoaga, inspired by his family’s perfumery background, established Urbieta Perfumery in the heart of San Sebastian, together with his wife Edurne Sarasola. The store quickly gained recognition, not only among the local community but also among the many visitors to San Sebastian. In the late 2000s, Gurutz Olaskoaga, son of the founders, returned to the family business with the vision of transforming Perfumería Urbieta into a European leader in signature and niche perfumery. He eventually became a part of the selection committee for Esxence, a prestigious and exclusive perfume fair held in Milan.

Our brand, Urbieta14, was born in the Basque Country but aims to reach a global audience. In 2021, we launched six distinct fragrances, crafted in collaboration with esteemed perfumers Santi Burgas and Rodrigo Flores-Roux. Each fragrance carries the spirit of our brand, embodying our commitment to offering exceptional scents that celebrate the beauty of nature’s essences.
