UBAYA, derived from the Arabic word “abaya,” refers to a simple yet elegant over-garment resembling a loose robe or dress. Traditionally, abayas are predominantly black and can be fashioned as oversized squares of fabric gracefully draped from the shoulders. This attire covers the entire body, with the exception of the head, feet, and hands.
