Theodoros Kalotinis, formerly known as Theo Parfums, is an esteemed niche Greek natural perfume brand founded by Theodoros Kalotinis in 2014. Rooted in the passion for nature and scents that was nurtured during his upbringing in Heraklion, Crete, Kalotinis’ journey into the world of perfumery began at a young age. Influenced by his grandmother, a Smirni native, he cultivated a deep appreciation for herbs and spices by engaging in a childhood game that challenged him to identify various aromas through blindfolded scent recognition.
As adolescence approached, Kalotinis delved further into the world of perfumes, collecting and exploring a wide range of fragrances. Eventually, he felt compelled to create his own personal scent using natural ingredients sourced from the bountiful Greek landscape. With essential oils in hand, he embarked on an arduous journey of experimentation and testing, dedicating countless hours to refine his craft. Through perseverance and determination, he developed a unique and proprietary method of blending exquisite essential oils of High Perfumery with alcohol distilled from natural grapes.
In pursuit of expanding his knowledge and skill set, Kalotinis traveled to the renowned town of Grasse, France, to learn the fundamental principles of perfumery. He further honed his expertise by studying cosmetology at a Greek university. With a solid foundation in place, Theodoros Kalotinis launched his eponymous perfume house, becoming the first Greek artisan perfumer to infuse nature into inspiration.
The pinnacle of recognition came in 2018 when Kalotinis had the honor of creating personalized fragrances for His Royal Highness, the Prince of Wales, Charles, and Her Royal Highness, the Duchess of Cornwall, Camilla. This prestigious endorsement catapulted the brand’s reputation and presence both locally and internationally, aided by effective utilization of social media and mass communication channels.
To date, Theodoros Kalotinis has supplied numerous Greek and international celebrities with his exceptional perfumes. The brand’s appeal lies in the harmonious fusion of classicism and high-quality natural ingredients, captivating customers seeking perfumes renowned for their distinctiveness and authenticity.
