Reflecting on his passion for fragrance, James de Givenchy shares, “Although jewelry has become my life, I was raised in the world of fragrance. I was born in Beauvais, a town north of Paris, where my uncle and father established the Givenchy perfume factory. At the age of 16, I began interning there, filling the iconic bottles of L’Interdit on the production line. I vividly remember my father meticulously evaluating perfume samples on his desk, often seeking my opinion. It was then that I fell in love with the art of perfumery and made a promise to establish my own fragrance company one day.”
