Sarah Jessica Parker is a highly acclaimed American actress, best known for her iconic portrayal of Carrie Bradshaw in the widely popular television series and subsequent films, “Sex and the City.” Parker’s innate sense of personal style, coupled with the fashion-obsessed persona of her character, opened doors for her in the fashion industry. She was chosen to model for renowned retailer, The Gap, and was given the opportunity to create her own clothing line for the now-defunct retailer, Steve and Barry’s.
Recognized for her lifelong love for perfumes and her tendency to mix multiple fragrances to concoct her own unique scent, Parker was approached by Coty to collaborate on the creation of a fragrance. This collaboration resulted in the launch of Lovely in 2005. This delightful fragrance quickly gained popularity, supported by an advertising campaign heavily centered around Parker’s distinctive voice and personal image. In 2006, Lovely won the prestigious Fifi award for Best National Ad Campaign, solidifying its success.
The triumph of Lovely sparked an ongoing partnership between Parker and Coty, which has yielded a range of fragrances. These include Covet (2007), a collection of companion scents—Twilight, Dawn, and Endless (2009)—limited editions of Lovely and Covet, as well as the latest releases: SJP NYC (2009) and SJP NYC Pure Crush (2011). To date, Sarah Jessica Parker has introduced a total of 20 perfumes, showcasing her dedication to the world of fragrance.
A collaborative effort with esteemed perfumers such as Ann Gottlieb, Frank Voelkl, Clement Gavarry, Laurent Le Guernec, Honorine Blanc, IFF, Stephen Nilsen, and Yann Vasnier has shaped the olfactory journey of Sarah Jessica Parker fragrances. From the inaugural creation in 2005 to the most recent edition in 2022, each fragrance captures the essence of Parker’s distinct style and enduring passion for perfumes.
