Princesse Marina de Bourbon is a prestigious French perfume house founded by Marina Gacry, who is married to Prince André of Bourbon-Parma, a distinguished member of the ancient Bourbon of Parma Dynasty. This esteemed lineage has ruled over various territories including France, Navarre, the Kingdom of Naples, the Duchy of Parma, and continues to hold the throne of Spain to this day.
Marina Gacry, born on September 5, coincidentally the same birthday as Louis XIV, overcame a challenging childhood and blossomed into a remarkably beautiful young woman, driven by a determined resolve to succeed and a thirst for knowledge. To support her studies, she secured a position under the renowned hairstylist Alexandre de Paris, eventually becoming his primary assistant. Through this role, Marina had the privilege of interacting with distinguished individuals from Europe’s wealthiest and most influential circles.
Her journey led her to St. Tropez, where fate brought her face-to-face with her Prince charming, André of the Bourbon of Parma Family. The couple returned to Paris and joined in matrimony in 1960. Following her marriage, Marina embarked on a fulfilling career as an interior designer, providing her clientele with exquisite art objects for their homes and offices. Renowned for her impeccable taste, she became the go-to advisor for celebrities and European aristocracy.
Fuelled by a desire for a new creative outlet, Princesse Marina ventured into the world of perfumery by signing a licensing agreement with Gilles Pommereau. To support this new endeavor, she established a concept store on Paris’ prestigious Boulevard de Courcelles. This iconic boutique, renowned worldwide for its diverse range of decor objects and clothing lines, serves as the ideal venue for showcasing her perfume line. The Princesse herself frequently graces the boutique, happily introducing her fragrances alongside other luxurious products.
The fragrances within Princesse Marina de Bourbon’s collection often pay tribute to royalty and elite status. Additionally, they embrace her French heritage. The inaugural fragrance, Marina de Bourbon for women, was introduced in 1994. Princesse Marina De Bourbon, the esteemed designer, has since created an impressive portfolio of 56 perfumes. Collaborating with esteemed perfumers such as Olivier Cresp, Philippine Courtière, Raphael Haury, Ilias Ermenidis, and Philippe Paparella-Paris, she has consistently crafted captivating and masterful scents.
