Raised in the picturesque surroundings of a farm nestled amidst the pristine Northern Maine woods, my childhood was filled with the invigorating scents of thawing earth and spring grasses. Coming from a family with Tahitian roots, I often found myself yearning for the warmth and fragrance of the South Pacific during the long winters. With time, I realized that the commercial perfumes I encountered failed to capture the essence of these natural aromas as I had imagined. This led me to embark on a journey of exploration into the realm of natural perfumery, experimenting with tinctures, oils, and resins.

Drawing upon my experiences as a wine director and sommelier, I have been fortunate to encounter extraordinary wines from all corners of the globe. This exposure has deepened my appreciation for terroir and strengthened my desire to celebrate the unique regional and seasonal variations found in natural perfume ingredients. Just as in the world of wine, I firmly believe in minimal intervention and the power of nature’s expression. Indeed, nature possesses an abundance of wisdom if we simply open our hearts and listen, allowing it to take center stage. My ultimate objective is to curate exquisite ingredients that not only delight the senses but also offer therapeutic benefits, blossoming with graceful subtlety on the wearer’s skin.

Throughout my journey, I have had the privilege of studying under the tutelage of esteemed alchemist and perfumer Mandy Aftel, whose artistry has been a constant source of inspiration. Additionally, I draw inspiration from exceptional winemakers like Herve Jestin, whose philosophy—that “everything is energy”—resonates deeply with my own approach. With this synthesis of influences, I proudly introduce Stolen Perfume, a fledgling brand dedicated to crafting exquisite fragrances. At present, our fragrance encyclopedia features a single creation from the year 2019, masterfully crafted by perfumer Rachel Binder.
