In 1930, two Portuguese cousins by the names of Antonio and Mario Santiago established Phebo in Belém, a city situated in the heart of the Amazon region. Their vision was to create a Brazilian soap that would match the highest international standards. To achieve this, the cousins ventured deep into the natural essences found in Brazil and developed an impeccable formula.
Phebo’s iconic oval shape, transparent appearance, and dark hue swiftly became a fixture in the households of countless Brazilians. The Santiago cousins were responsible for crafting distinctive and original products that propelled Phebo into becoming a nationally renowned brand, treasured by numerous generations.
