The Attarwala family has been deeply rooted in the craft of attar-making for over 160 years. Attar, the renowned fragrant oils derived from exquisite flowers, herbs, and woods, has been their specialty. The name ‘Attar’+’wala’ reflects their essence as the possessors of attar. Originating from the captivating city of Udaipur in the state of Rajasthan, India, the Attarwala family eventually shifted their main business operations to Bombay in 1940, led by the late Mr. Mohammadali Attarwala. In Bombay, Mr. Ismail M. Attarwala, eldest son of Mr. Mohammadali Attarwala, established Nemat Enterprises, which has gained distinction for its extensive assortment of premium Indian attars and perfumes. Furthermore, the Attarwala family ventured into the United States of America by establishing Nemat International®, to extend their legacy beyond borders.
