Narciso Rodriguez, a highly acclaimed fashion designer of Cuban heritage, has emerged as a prominent figure in the industry through his innovative and contemporary designs. He pursued his passion for fashion at the renowned Parsons School of Design in New York, where he honed his skills by freelancing for prominent companies such as Anne Klein and Calvin Klein. In 1995, he experienced a breakthrough in his career as the Design Director for TSE in New York and Cerruti in Paris. It was during this period that he designed the iconic bridal gown for his close friend, Carolyn Bessette, for her wedding to John Kennedy Jr. This accomplishment propelled him to establish his eponymous label in 1997, which subsequently received esteemed accolades such as the Best New Designer award from Vogue/VH1 and the Council of Fashion Designers in America.
In conjunction with his clothing line, Rodriguez served as the Design Director for the Women’s Ready to Wear Collection at Loewe. Returning to the United States in 2001, he went on to receive the coveted “Designer of the Year” awards for two consecutive years (2002 and 2003) from the Council of Fashion Designers of America, solidifying his prominent position within the industry. While his fashion designs have garnered widespread recognition, Rodriguez has also made a significant impact in the fragrance industry.
In 2003, he collaborated with Shiseido’s Beaute Prestige International Brand to launch his debut fragrance, “For Her.” This was followed by the release of the men’s fragrance counterpart, “For Him,” in 2007. Since then, Narciso Rodriguez has expanded his fragrance collection to include other notable scents such as “Essence,” “Narciso,” and “Oriental Musc Editions.” These fragrances have gained immense popularity among enthusiasts and have secured a special place in the hearts of many. The remarkable success of his brand continues to flourish with each new release, enriching the fashion industry with his bold and contemporary creations.
Currently, Narciso Rodriguez boasts an extensive fragrance collection, with a total of 58 perfumes in our fragrance base. The earliest creation dates back to 2003, while the latest addition is from 2023. These fragrances have been collaboratively crafted with distinguished perfumers, including Alberto Morillas, Calice Becker, Sonia Constant, Christine Nagel, Francis Kurkdjian, Aurelien Guichard, Natalie Gracia-Cetto, Daphné Bugey, Marie Salamagne, Nadege le Garlantezec, and Caroline Sabas.
