Despite his initial foray into dance and professional work at the tender age of 14, Mugler expanded his repertoire by studying interior design before making the decisive move to Paris at 24. Notably, Mugler continued to push boundaries by opening his maiden Parisian boutique and introducing a menswear line in 1978.
