Morgan de Toi is a renowned French clothing brand that was founded by Odette Barouch and Jocelyne Bismuth in the textile quarter of Paris, France in 1947. Originally specializing in lingerie, the company quickly expanded its product range to include a wide selection of clothing, shoes, and accessories for women between the ages of 18 and 40.
The brand’s target customer is a contemporary woman who dresses for herself and enjoys exploring various styles. This woman pays attention to detail, follows current design trends, and has a deep appreciation for French fashion. In order to differentiate itself from inexpensive competitors while remaining affordable, Morgan de Toi offers fashion clothing in the mid-price sector. Past celebrity endorsements have included Carla Bruni-Sarkozy and Mischa Barton.
Having gained significant popularity in France over the years and becoming a staple for fashion enthusiasts across Europe, Morgan de Toi began expanding into Asian markets in 2010. By the end of 2011, in addition to numerous concessions in department stores, the brand had successfully opened 650 standalone stores worldwide.
In 2003, Morgan de Toi expanded its offerings by entering the world of fragrances. The inaugural fragrance, simply named Morgan de Toi, was created by Christine Nagel and includes notes of blueberry, pink pepper, crystal amber, jasmine, nectarine, patchouli, agarwood, and musk. In the same year, the brand introduced its first men’s fragrance, Morgan de Toi Homme, a composition by Annick Menardo and Gerard Anthony featuring accords of clary sage, bergamot, lemon, jasmine, mint, geranium, sandalwood, oakmoss, and vetiver.
The following year, in 2004, two new fragrances were unveiled: the Light my Heart Collection for women and its counterpart for men. The women’s fragrance combines pink grapefruit, passionfruit, white amber, water lily, musk, patchouli, and sandalwood, while the men’s version boasts notes of citruses, bergamot, clary sage, jasmine, mint, exotic woods, sandalwood, and musk.
In 2004, Morgan de Toi also introduced a spin-off fragrance for women called Love de Toi. Created by Dorothee Piot, this fruity-floral composition blends orange, pink pepper, mandarin orange, green apple, raspberry, tiare flower, gardenia, jasmine, lily-of-the-valley, rose, red apple, sandalwood, musk, and cherry.
Since then, several additional fragrances have been added to the Morgan de Toi collection. The brand currently offers 13 perfumes, with the earliest edition launched in 2003 and the most recent in 2016. These fragrances have been developed in collaboration with esteemed perfumers including Jérôme di Marino, Dorothée Piot, Christine Nagel, Annick Menardo, Gerard Anthony, Laurent Bruyere, Dominique Ropion, Antoine Lie, and Guillaume Flavigny.
