Montana Parfums is a relatively young perfume house based in France that launched its inaugural fragrance, Parfum de Peau, in 1986. This fragrance is characterized by its powerful, animalic, and leathery notes.
In 1989, Montana Parfums introduced its first fragrance for men, Montana Parfum d’Homme. This composition is built around a blend of leather, aldehydes, spices, patchouli, oak moss, and floral notes.
The brand continued to expand its collection with the release of Parfum d’Elle in 1990. This women’s fragrance features chypre and fruity notes, creating a captivating scent.
Montana Parfums showcased its expertise in floral perfumes in 1994 with the introduction of Suggestion Eau d’Or and Suggestion Eau d’Argent, both designed for women.
In 1998, Francoice Caron created Just Me, a sweet composition dominated by notes of pineapple, honey, and chocolate. This fragrance quickly gained popularity after its launch.
In 2000, Montana Parfums released Montana Blue, a floral-aquatic fragrance that captured the essence of natural beauty.
The year 2001 marked the introduction of Montana Homme, a woody chypre fragrance that served as a follow-up to the brand’s first men’s fragrance from 1989.
Montana Parfums expanded its men’s collection in 2003 with the launch of Montana Green. This green aromatic fougère fragrance became a favorite among men seeking a fresh and invigorating scent.
The same year, the brand unveiled Parfum d’Elle 2, a fruity-floral edition of the original Parfum d’Elle from 1986, catering to women seeking a playful and vibrant fragrance.
Building on the success of its previous launches, Montana Parfums presented three new fragrances in 2004. Malaita, with its floral-aquatic composition, Samar, an oriental-floral scent enriched with prominent floral notes, and Suggestion Eau Cuivrée, a strong floral fragrance crafted by perfumer Gérard Anthony.
The Montana Mood Collection made its debut in 2006, offering three distinct fragrances: Montana Mood Sensual, a floral composition; Montana Mood Sexy, a chypre-floral blend; and Montana Mood Soft, an oriental-floral fragrance. Each scent captures a different mood and personality.
In 2007, Parfum de Femme was launched as an oriental-floral perfume featuring prominent apple notes, adding a touch of freshness to the composition.
The following year, Montana Parfums introduced Montana en Turquoise, a floral-aquatic fragrance that epitomized the essence of a beach scent perfect for summer holidays.
In 2010, the brand released Montana 80, a floral-oriental scent with intense notes of milk, woods, and tuberose, evoking a sense of nostalgia with its retro feel.
Continuing to cater to men, Montana Parfums launched Graphite in 2011. This oriental-spicy fragrance combines woody and balmy notes to create a captivating and masculine scent.
Since their inception in 1986, Montana Parfums has created a total of 31 perfumes in collaboration with renowned perfumers such as Corinne Cachen, Olivia Jan, Nathalie Lorson, Francoise Caron, Antoine Lie, Annick Menardo, IFF, Olivier Cresp, Edouard Flechier, Jean Guichard, Gerard Anthony, Max Gavarry, Emilie Bevierre-Coppermann, and Alexandra Carlin. Their fragrance collection spans from their earliest edition to their newest release in 2019, showcasing their dedication to continuous innovation and captivating scents.
