Monsoon, the renowned clothing brand, was established by Peter Simon in London back in 1972. Simon’s vision was to offer a unique collection of clothing inspired by vibrant cultures from the Far East and exotic locations across the globe. This distinctive style has since been recognized as “boho chic,” highlighting its fusion of cultural influences.
In 1973, Monsoon opened its first store in Beauchamp Place, Knightsbridge, London. Just a year later, they introduced the widely popular brand of fashion accessories known as Accessorize. As time went on, Monsoon continued to expand its offerings, establishing departments dedicated to Monsoon Home, Monsoon Boy, and Monsoon Men.
The brand’s success prompted rapid expansion worldwide. Presently, Monsoon and Accessorize boast over 400 stores throughout the UK alone, with a remarkable presence of more than 900 outlets in over 60 countries internationally.
Monsoon made its entry into the fragrance industry in 1994 with the debut of their first perfume, appropriately named Monsoon. In 2005, a new version of this captivating fragrance was introduced. With 7 perfumes in their fragrance base, Monsoon has consistently demonstrated their commitment to olfactory excellence. The perfumer responsible for crafting these remarkable scents is none other than Maurice Roucel. Their fragrance range spans from the earliest edition in 1994 to the most recent release in 2017.
