Michael Klein, a renowned French fashion designer, was born in 1958 in a fashion-centric environment in France. At the young age of 15, he displayed remarkable talent by selling his fashion design sketches to esteemed fashion houses like Yves Saint Laurent. In 1975, he joined Dorothee Bis, a well-established Parisian house known for its chain stores across France.
In 1981, Michael Klein established his own fashion house in the heart of Paris. Simultaneously, he also worked at Guy Laroche haute couture from 1993 to 1997, having taken over the responsibilities of the late designer. During this time, he honed his skills and expertise, creating a unique label that encompassed ready-to-wear collections, accessories, and fragrances under the guiding principle of “Elegance formidable.” His immaculate craftsmanship struck a harmonious chord between the enchanting and the practical, appealing to a discerning clientele.
In 1987, Michael Klein introduced his inaugural fragrance titled Voyou, a captivating scent catered towards the masculine demographic. Subsequently, in 1989, he launched his first feminine fragrance called Rendez-Vous. Over the years, Michel Klein has expanded his fragrance portfolio, collaborating with esteemed perfumers such as Olivia Giacobetti and Dorothée Piot. To date, he has crafted a total of seven exquisite perfumes, with the most recent addition being from 2005.
