Maitre Parfumeur et Gantier, founded by Jean Laporte in 1988, pays homage to the illustrious French perfume houses of the 17th century. During this era, scented gloves became a symbol of fashion, and the King himself bestowed the prestigious title of “Glove and Perfume Master.” Drawing inspiration from this historical period, Maitre Parfumeur et Gantier resurrects the artistry of both perfumery and glove-making, employing only the finest ingredients and presenting its creations in an elegant, refined setting.
In 1997, Jean-Paul Millet Lage, a former apprentice of Jean Laporte, assumed the role of perfumer and head of the house. Since its inception, Maitre Parfumeur et Gantier has introduced a diverse range of fragrances for both men and women, starting with its inaugural collection in 1988.
For women, Maitre Parfumeur et Gantier offers four distinct collections: Les Fleurs Divine (Divine Flowers), Les Symphonies Legeres (Light Symphonies), Les Accords Mysteres (Mysterious Accords), and L’Invitation Au Voyage (The Invitation to Travel). These collections showcase an array of captivating scents tailored to different preferences and moods.
The men’s fragrance line comprises three categories: Les Parfums du Levant (Scents of the East), Les Caprices du Dandy (Whims of the Dandy), and Les Aromatiques (The Aromatics). Each category showcases unique olfactory compositions crafted to enhance the masculine allure.
In 2011, Maitre Parfumeur et Gantier unveiled its luxury collection, Les Eaux Extravagantes (Extravagant Waters). This collection offers updated and enriched iterations of some of the house’s classic scents, further accentuating their timeless appeal.
The esteemed designer, Maitre Parfumeur et Gantier, boasts an extensive fragrance portfolio, encompassing 50 perfumes. The range spans from the earliest edition crafted in 1988 to the latest creation in 2022.
