In 1998, M•A•C was fully acquired by Estée Lauder Companies. Since then, the brand has continued to flourish, offering an extensive range of makeup products in a wide array of shades. With over 160 lipstick shades and 150 eye shadow shades, M•A•C stands out for its unmatched variety.
Beyond their commitment to providing high-quality cosmetics, M•A•C Cosmetics is also dedicated to making a positive impact on society. The brand established the MAC AIDs fund in 1994, which aims to provide support and financial assistance to individuals affected by AIDS. The fund is solely financed by the sale of their Viva Glam products, with 100% of the sales proceeds going directly to the fund. M•A•C prides itself on being cruelty-free, meaning that their products are not tested on animals, and this policy extends to their ingredient suppliers as well. The Back 2 M•A•C Recycling program encourages customers to return six empty M•A•C containers in exchange for a free lip gloss, eyeshadow, or lipstick at any M•A•C location.
