Lotto Sport Italia, a renowned Italian sports apparel manufacturer and designer, has gained worldwide recognition as it offers a wide range of products in more than 60 countries. Established in 1973 by the Caberlotto family in Montebelluna, Italy, a prominent hub for footwear manufacturing, Lotto swiftly entered the market with its inaugural line of football-related products. Over the years, the company expanded its offerings to encompass footwear for tennis, basketball, volleyball, athletics, and football.
A key milestone for Lotto was its strategic focus on tennis footwear and clothing, which saw the brand sponsor esteemed professional tennis players such as Martina Navratilova, Boris Becker, Thomas Muster, and Andrea Gaudenzi. As these athletes gained prominence, Lotto’s products garnered increased attention, claiming their place on the courts of prestigious events like Wimbledon, the US Open, and Roland Garros.
In the 1980s, Lotto embarked on international endeavors by designing its first football boot models and forging collaborations with globally recognized players and teams. Distinguished tennis players like John Newcombe, Andrés Gómez, and José Luis Clerc proudly sported the brand’s tennis products. Additionally, Lotto secured sponsorship agreements with prominent football players like Dino Zoff and Ruud Gullit, as well as renowned clubs including AC Milan (1993-1998), the Netherlands national football team, Napoli, Juventus, Chievo Verona, and Real Zaragoza. These partnerships not only lent their expertise to product design but also enhanced the company’s brand image. Concurrently, Lotto rapidly expanded its international business, successfully venturing into the export market.
In the late 1990s, Lotto underwent a transformative period as it changed ownership, being acquired by a group of local entrepreneurs deeply entrenched in the sports industry. Under the new leadership, the company was rebranded as Lotto Sport Italia, with a renewed focus on qualities such as dynamism, innovation, quality, Italian design, passion, and exceptional customer service.
Lotto’s products can be found in independent sports stores, specialized chain stores, as well as large retail establishments with dedicated sports departments. To further amplify its presence, the company is actively promoting the development of corner and flagship stores.
From 2005 onwards, Lotto expanded its offerings beyond sports apparel and ventured into the world of fragrance. Introducing ten sporty fragrances for both men and women, the brand achieved considerable success. Notably, their latest collection, launched in March 2011, comprises four Lotto Elements fragrances inspired by the elements of earth, fire, air, and water. These fragrances encapsulate the respective strengths and energy of each element, presenting four distinct active energies based on emotion, power, endurance, and strength.
Lotto Air, a spicy woody fragrance, begins with a vibrant burst of lemon. Its heart notes feature ginger, cardamom, and sage, while the base notes consist of cedar, sandalwood, and oakmoss. On the other hand, Lotto Water offers an invigorating aromatic aquatic composition, opening with refreshing top notes of thyme. The heart notes unfold with ivy, geranium, and cumin, while the base notes showcase patchouli, cedar, and white musk.
Lotto Fire emanates a warm and spicy scent with prominent amber accords. Bergamot takes center stage in the top notes, complemented by cinnamon, bay leaves, and cardamom in the heart. The fragrance concludes with a captivating trail of sandalwood, tonka, and amber. Finally, Lotto Earth is an aromatic and spicy fragrance that opens with bergamot. The heart notes harmonize petit grain, lavender, and violet, while the base notes entwine Bourbon vanilla, amber, and cedar.
