Established in 1885, Les Bains Guerbois holds the esteemed title of being the inaugural beauty and well-being institution in Paris. Its illustrious history includes welcoming prominent artists such as Manet, Zola, Renoir, and Proust, along with the crème de la crème of high society. As the years passed, the establishment underwent a transformative moment in 1978, reemerging as the renowned nightclub Les Bains Douches. This international hotspot attracted a myriad of luminaries ranging from David Bowie and Karl Lagerfeld to Andy Warhol and Jean-Paul Gaultier. It was during this time that a young Philippe Starck made his mark on the venue’s decor.
In 2013, Les Bains underwent yet another metamorphosis, serving as a residency for artists from across the globe who sought to pay homage to the club’s artistic DNA. The result was a contemporary artistic haven, spread across the vast expanse of the 3,000 square meters of the premises, filled with an array of diverse styles and inspirations.
Taking the next logical step in 2015, Jean-Pierre Marois, a custodian of the establishment, assembled a team of internationally regarded designers, creatives, and chefs to breathe new life into Les Bains. It was reborn as a five-star hotel, a luxurious restaurant, an inviting bar, an intimate concert venue, and an innovative concept store rolled into one.
Continuing the legacy in 2016, Jean-Pierre Marois, the esteemed inheritor of Les Bains, unveiled the first signature Cologne and perfumed candle, successfully reimagining Les Bains Guerbois for a new generation. Building upon this, a line of exquisite eaux de parfum was introduced in subsequent years, each encapsulating a specific year and narrating a story from the rich past spanning over 130 years.
As a brand, Les Bains Guerbois prides itself on offering 13 captivating perfumes within its fragrance portfolio. These fragrances have been crafted in collaboration with renowned perfumers such as Dorothée Piot, Jérôme Epinette, Bertrand Duchaufour, Dominique Ropion, Michel Almairac, Fanny Bal, and Mathieu Nardin. With its inception in 2017 and the latest addition in 2023, Les Bains Guerbois continues to captivate fragrance enthusiasts with its exceptional olfactory creations.
