Le Jardin Retrouvé was established in 1975 by Yuri GUTSATZ, an accomplished Perfume Composer with extensive experience in the prestigious French aromatic product industry. This pioneering brand is widely recognized as one of the original “niche” perfume houses, revolutionizing the art of fragrance creation and sales. During its inception, Le Jardin Retrouvé was exclusively available in fashionable locations, quickly amassing a dedicated following. Yuri Gutsatz’s philosophy centered on exceptional quality and affordable prices, guiding his vision for each fragrance he crafted.
After Yuri’s passing in 2005, Le Jardin Retrouvé experienced a gradual decline, yet its loyal customers ensured its continued existence. In 2016, Michel, Yuri and Arlette’s son, embarked on a mission to revive his family’s legacy alongside his wife, Clara. To fund this endeavor, they sold the cherished ancestral home while carefully preserving the precious collection of notebooks and ingredient bottles that held Yuri’s formulations and writings – an invaluable treasure for future generations.
