Le Galion, a prestigious French perfume house, was originally established in 1930 by the esteemed Prince Murat. The brand swiftly gained recognition for its exceptional fragrances, most notably the iconic Sortilège, and continued to captivate perfume enthusiasts with its offerings throughout the 1930s until the 1970s. Unfortunately, the house faced a decline after its acquisition by an American group, leading to its unfortunate demise. However, it was through the ardent efforts of Nicolas Chabot that Le Galion found new life. With a passion for preserving the brand’s heritage, Chabot successfully revived many of Le Galion’s esteemed classic fragrances.
As of now, Le Galion boasts an impressive collection of 39 exquisite perfumes in its fragrance base. Spanning across several decades, the oldest fragrance dates back to the brand’s inception in 1930, while the latest addition is slated for release in 2023. These extraordinary creations are the result of collaborations with highly skilled perfumers such as David Maruitte, Vanina Muracciole, Rodrigo Flores-Roux, Paul Vacher, Marie Duchêne, Thomas Fontaine, Quentin Bisch, Jean-Christophe Hérault, Domitille Michalon Bertier, Amelie Bourgeois, and Anne-Sophie Behaghel. Through their collective expertise, Le Galion continues to craft scents that embody the essence of refinement and sophistication.
