In 1937, the Mont Francis Bonté family resided in a picturesque region in southern France, nestled amongst lush green meadows and enchanting blue beaches. This family’s young son, Michel, would later revolutionize the perfume industry. Besides engaging in agriculture and gardening, the Bonté family possessed a profound interest in extracting oils from the flowers and plants they cultivated on their land.
Michel, as the sole son of the family, worked alongside his father, developing a deep curiosity for this craft. The allure of fragrant blooms and the proximity of their seaside home captivated his senses, leaving him with no desire for any other occupation. Following his father’s passing, Michel dedicated himself to carrying on the family legacy. In 1939, he embarked on a journey to Paris, where he acquired a small workshop. It was within the confines of this workspace that he began producing an array of distinct essences that he aptly named La Bonté, paying homage to his father’s memory.
Through his connections with esteemed royal families, nobles, and prominent French figures, Michel swiftly acquired a reputation as an unparalleled producer of perfume essences. However, with the eruption of war across Europe, all industries, including La Bonté, succumbed to the dire circumstances and were forced to shutter their operations.
Nevertheless, like the mythical phoenix, La Bonté rose anew after several decades. Today, La Bonté Paris stands as a brand embodying resilience and reinvention. With a collection of 12 exquisite perfumes in our fragrance base, La Bonté Paris has emerged as a distinguished fragrance brand. The earliest edition of our fragrances originated in 2017, with our most recent creation belonging to the year 2020. Collaborating with esteemed perfumers Gerard Bertrand and Emilie Bouge, La Bonté Paris continues to captivate discerning individuals with its alluring scents.
