Kelly & Jones represents an innovative concept in the realm of fine fragrance, offering a unique experience that combines the scents of wine and perfume. We aim to provide individuals with a fresh and immersive approach to appreciating the world of wine. While visiting a California vineyard and swirling a glass of Chardonnay, I found myself unintentionally challenging the conventional norms of wine tasting by wearing perfume. Traditionally, fragrance is strictly prohibited during wine tasting to avoid any interference with the wine’s aroma. However, I noticed something intriguing as the scent of perfume emanated from my skin – it harmonized remarkably well with the wine, enhancing its aromatic nuances. This experience sparked an idea: how could I utilize perfumes to enrich the olfactory journey and allow the nose to fully appreciate the diverse notes found in wine?
Driven by a deep respect for the artistry of winemaking, I embarked on a quest to explore unconventional possibilities. Armed with five bottles of wine, I dedicated countless hours to intimately understanding their distinct characteristics through careful sniffing and sipping. Eventually, I succeeded in crafting unique blends that expertly captured the essence of each varietal. These final eau de parfums represent an entirely novel notion in the world of fragrance – they serve as coordinating companions to specific wines. By intertwining these complementary scents, our fragrances provide an unrivaled sensory and experiential experience, ultimately reviving and invigorating two of the most ancient and cherished pleasures known to humankind: wine and perfume.
