Keiko Mecheri is a prestigious fragrance house based in California, founded by the talented duo Keiko and Kamel Mecheri. Originally operating under the name Bazaar des Senteurs, the company initially focused on producing body care products and scented candles. However, with the introduction of their exquisite scents, namely Hanae, Te En, and Loukhoum, Keiko Mecheri shifted its emphasis to perfumes.
Loukhoum, a fragrance inspired by the beloved confection of the same name, achieved tremendous success and remains a cherished cult favorite as well as a best-seller for the house. In recognition of this shift in focus and the brand’s growing reputation, the company rebranded itself as Keiko Mecheri. Keiko, who hails from the scenic city of Atami, Japan, known as the “Japanese Riviera” for its delightful climate and breathtaking natural beauty, is an accomplished artist and pianist. Her artistic pursuits, including studies at UCLA and in Europe, ultimately led her to follow her passion for perfumery.
The exceptional fragrances from Keiko Mecheri’s collection are meticulously crafted based on fine art principles and employ only the finest quality ingredients. The company operates independently from its headquarters in Beverly Hills, maintaining full control over the production process. Over the years, Keiko Mecheri has introduced several collections, including Loukhoum, Les Orientals, Rares Epices (Rare Spices), Cuir (Leather), Les Soliflores (highlighting individual floral notes), Les Eaux Tendres (Tender Water), Les Eaux Fraiches (Fresh Water), and Vintage. In 2009, they proudly launched their latest collection, La Collection Hesperides (Citrus Collection).
Designer Keiko Mecheri has an impressive repertoire of 72 perfumes in their fragrance base, with the earliest edition dating back to 1998 and the most recent release in 2020. Collaborating with distinguished perfumers Yann Vasnier and Keiko Mecheri herself, the house continues to create captivating and luxurious fragrances that enchant perfume enthusiasts worldwide.
