Founded in 1997 by Jette Joop, JETTE GmbH is a Hamburg-based company renowned for its expertise in design and lifestyle. With a keen focus on creating unique and captivating products, the company has gained popularity in various categories, including jewelry, timepieces, fashion, fragrance, shoes, leather goods, eyewear, and a distinctive children’s collection known as “JETTE by STACCATO.”
JETTE GmbH first gained recognition with its gold jewelry collection in 2000, which was later expanded to include silver jewelry and a watch collection in 2010. In 2003, Jette ventured into designing casual, modern women’s clothing, characterized by their laid-back, trend-oriented, and glamorous appeal. The company further expanded its portfolio in 2005 by introducing its first fragrance, “JETTE,” which received the prestigious Duftstars award in 2006. This success led to the introduction of three more perfumes for women: Jette by Night, Jette Heartbeat, and Dark Sapphire.
In addition to its expertise in fashion and fragrance, JETTE GmbH has also made significant contributions to the fields of home and industrial design. Jette Joop collaborated with Viebrockhaus AG to design a set of houses, showcasing her talent in architectural design. The company also partnered with WMF to offer JETTE flatware and table accessories, and worked on the innovative concept of high-quality wall and gloss paints called SIGNEO.
Jette Joop, the mastermind behind JETTE GmbH, was born in Braunschweig, Germany, and received a versatile education across various countries. She completed her high school education in Oxford, England, earning her International Baccalaureate diploma. She further pursued her studies at the Art Center College of Design in California, USA, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree.
Jette Joop’s dedication to philanthropy is evident through her involvement in several projects for the German Red Cross. In 2003, she was appointed as the children’s ambassador of the German Red Cross, a role she continues to fulfill. Her remarkable contributions have been recognized through esteemed awards, including the Duftstars award for her debut fragrance “JETTE,” and the Goldene Erbse award for her work as the children’s ambassador.
JETTE GmbH has garnered immense success by creating designs that are both modern and functional, while still remaining accessible to a wider audience. Reflecting on her vision, Jette Joop explains, “My creations are intended to bring joy to people and enhance their everyday lives, while remaining affordable. Nothing more, nothing less.” She emphasizes the importance of exceptional design in meeting people’s needs and setting new aesthetic standards. Through collaborations with partners who share a mutual commitment to design and quality, Jette Joop embraces a crossover approach, combining different design expertise to create unique and groundbreaking products.
With a fragrance base consisting of 16 exquisite perfumes, Jette Joop has consistently captivated scent enthusiasts since her first fragrance was launched in 2005. Collaborating with renowned perfumers Michel Almairac, Olivier Cresp, and Julien Rasquinet, her fragrances represent an enchanting blend of artistry and elegance. From the earliest edition to the latest in 2020, Jette Joop’s perfumes continue to leave an indelible mark on the fragrance industry.
