Iceberg, an esteemed Italian fashion house, was established in 1962 by the visionary duo Silvano Gerani and Guiliana Marchini. They also founded Gilmar Group, the proud owner of the renowned “Iceberg” brand. With its headquarters in San Giovanni in Marignano (Rimini), the company’s humble beginnings as a small knitwear company soon propelled it into the forefront of the fashion industry. Iceberg was a pioneer in offering fashionable sportswear, revolutionizing the use of knitwear. Their innovative designs, featuring bold colors, intricate patterns, and even whimsical cartoons, showcased their mastery of the latest technologies and materials. In 1974, Iceberg introduced its highly anticipated menswear line, followed by a women’s collection in 1976. In 1992, the company expanded its repertoire to include exquisite leather goods, and in 1995, it unveiled the iconic Iceberg denim collection. As testament to its success, Iceberg inaugurated its first boutique in Milan in 1989, solidifying its presence in one of the world’s fashion capitals. Not long after, a New York showroom was established in 1991, further extending the brand’s global reach.
The Iceberg women’s collection made its spectacular runway debut in Milan during the autumn of 1995, swiftly garnering attention from both the hip-hop and pop music scenes. This newfound notoriety propelled the brand to expand its product range, catering to men, women, and even children. In addition to clothing, Iceberg also ventured into eyewear, watches, and perfume. The brand’s first fragrance, named after the fashion house itself, was introduced in 1989 — an extraordinary women’s scent housed in a distinctive zig-zag bottle. Its male counterpart followed suit in 1991. Since then, Iceberg has released a series of captivating fragrances for both men and women, further establishing its prowess in olfactory artistry. In partnership with Selective Beauty, Iceberg continues to delight fragrance enthusiasts with an impressive collection of 33 perfumes. From its inaugural creation in 1989 to its latest masterpiece in 2022, these fragrances have been crafted by esteemed perfumers such as Symrise, Sophie Labbe, Alexandra Carlin, Christophe Raynaud, Sonia Constant, Nathalie Feisthauer, Quest, Ilias Ermenidis, Natalie Gracia-Cetto, and Antoine Maisondieu.
