HRH Princess Elizabeth

Her Royal Highness Princess Jelisaveta Karađorđević, also known as Princess Elizabeth, is a direct descendant of Russian Queen Catherine the Great through her mother’s lineage. As the daughter of Princess Olga and Prince Pavle, she is closely related to European nobility, including the Prince of Wales, the Duke of Kent, Queen Sofia of Spain, King Michael of Romania, King Constantine of Greece, and Queen Beatrice of the Netherlands. Princess Jelisaveta’s family was forced into exile in 1941, when she was just four years old. However, in 1987, she became the first member of her family to return to their homeland. Today, she resides in Serbia, where she has ventured into the creation of perfumes.

Princess Jelisaveta is a remarkable woman, known for her boundless energy and ever-present, radiant smile. In addition to her entrepreneurial pursuits, she has also dedicated herself to enhancing the image of her country through her work, portraying Serbia in the most favorable light possible, albeit gradually.

An ardent philanthropist, Princess Jelisaveta established The Fleur de Lys charity foundation under the auspices of the Order of Fleur de Lys. This foundation aims to support endangered children around the world. Her unwavering commitment to humanitarian causes has garnered recognition for her efforts, including the prestigious ‘Demiurgus Peace International’ award, bestowed upon her in Zug, Switzerland on October 12th, 2003. The award, initiated by the World Council of Former Ministers of Foreign Affairs and the Forum for Nuclear Disarming, was also conferred upon other esteemed individuals, such as former Russian President V.V. Putin, Patriarch Alexei the Second of Moscow, Archbishop Desmond Tutu of Cape Town, Maulana Vahidudin Kan, president of the Islamic center Al-Risala in India, Professor Michael Windy, director and founder of the Organization for Reconstruction of Villages in India, and Mr. Ted Turner, president of the United Nations Foundation.

Princess Jelisaveta’s venture into the perfume industry began with the launch of her inaugural fragrance, ‘E,’ in the United States. This perfume showcased a harmonious blend of four distinct flowers. Shortly thereafter, she introduced her second creation, named ‘My Angel,’ which was later relaunched in Serbia in 2002 as ‘Jelisaveta,’ bearing her own name. Her third perfume, expected to debut in 2008, will center around the captivating aroma of violets.

Each of Princess Jelisaveta’s perfumes holds its own unique story, with each ingredient purposefully chosen to evoke a connection with a specific place, memory, or individual that holds personal significance for the Princess. It is worth noting that designer HRH Princess Elizabeth has two perfumes in our fragrance base, both of which were launched in 2002. The esteemed nose behind these fragrances is Sophia Grojsman.
