FUMparFUM, a creative studio and brand of art and conceptual perfumery, was established in Vilnius, Lithuania in 2011. Aistis Mickevičius, a renowned artist, actor, and radio DJ in Lithuania, is the founder and perfumer of the studio. With a passion for perfume creation, Mickevičius embarked on his own project after years of engaging in diverse studies.
The name of the brand, FUMparFUM, is derived from the Latin phrase “Per Fumum,” the Italian word “Profumo,” and the French term “Parfum.” As a creative studio, FUMparFUM develops distinct fragrance lines and fragrant products for various businesses. Each fragrance produced by FUMparFUM is meticulously crafted by hand using premium quality natural and synthetic ingredients, and they are only available in limited editions. The studio’s approach blends the traditions of old European perfume making with an original and contemporary perspective on perfumery. FUMparFUM also explores perfume sketches, which are artistic expressions of imagination.
Notably, FUMparFUM creative studio is recognized for its sophisticated and theatrical style, featuring unexpected botanical and molecular combinations, as well as a touch of modern vintage taste. In addition to fragrances, Aistis Mickevičius, the nose and creative force behind FUMparFUM, creates scent installations for objects, galleries, and exhibitions. In 2016, Mickevičius authored and published the first book on perfumery in Lithuanian language, titled “Kvepalai” (“Perfumes”).
As a fragrance brand, FUMparFUM currently offers a range of 45 perfumes in its collection. Continuously evolving, the brand introduced its first fragrance in 2014 and has since released new editions, with the most recent being in 2022. All fragrances are meticulously developed by nose Aistis Mickevičius.
