The brand’s origins can be traced back to the late 19th century when Joseph Robert, an exceptional French chemist, revolutionized the world of perfumery by developing an innovative technique to extract 100% pure fragrance oils directly from plants. This breakthrough discovery paved the way for the emergence of talented perfumers, known as “noses,” who had the remarkable ability to capture nature’s most captivating aromas and encapsulate them in exquisite bottles.

However, the artisanal heritage of perfumery has gradually been overshadowed by the dominance of multinational cosmetics corporations, which prioritize mass production and cost efficiency over the intimate connection between carefully sourced natural ingredients and true artistic expression. Guided by our esteemed head nose, Francois, a fourth-generation master perfumer and the great grandson of Joseph Robert, we have devised a novel approach to perfumery that places craftsmanship, exceptional ingredients, and boundless creativity at the forefront of our practice.
