The Ellen Betrix company was established in Germany in 1935, offering a diverse selection of cosmetic and perfume products. In 1968, they introduced a line specifically tailored for gentlemen under the name Henry M. Betrix. Notably, in 1984, Betrix joined forces with Boss to create Boss fragrances, which made their debut in 1985. The launch of the Hugo Boss fragrance line proved to be immensely successful, prompting Betrix to establish a new division called Eurocos to house both the Boss and Laura Biagiotti brands. Subsequently, in 1989, Betrix was acquired by Revlon. In 1991, Procter & Gamble acquired Betrix from Revlon, including the license for Hugo Boss fragrances. In 2000, Procter & Gamble made the strategic decision to merge their Betrix and Max Factor cosmetic brands. While both ranges now feature nearly identical products, they are marketed under different names in various regions. Renowned designer Ellen Betrix has developed four fragrances in our fragrance base. The earliest edition dates back to 1969, while the most recent release is from 1988. The creation of Ellen Betrix fragrances involved collaborations with esteemed perfumers Maurice Roucel and Edouard Fléchier.
