Parfums d’Orsay, the esteemed perfume house hailing from France, epitomizes a truly aristocratic line of fragrances. With a strong sense of pride in their long-standing tradition and heritage, Parfums d’Orsay honors the rich perfume legacy of the Count d’Orsay, even though the house itself was never under his ownership.
The inception of Compagnie Francaise des Parfums d’Orsay was dedicated to preserving the Count’s perfume heritage and establishing an aristocratic luxury perfume house. The founders spared no expense when crafting the brand’s image, utilizing only the finest ingredients, Lalique and Baccarat crystal bottles, and establishing private factories for perfume production. As a result, the company flourished, creating a myriad of remarkable perfumes. Among them, the legendary Etiquette Bleu, originally crafted by Alfred d’Orsay himself, remains an integral part of the modern line of d’Orsay perfumes.
Count d’Orsay has been the emblematic figurehead of the house since its inception. His legendary love story, aristocratic elegance, and discerning taste have become the epitome of the house’s exquisite offerings. While the association between “aristocracy” and “luxury” was often intertwined throughout history, the early 20th century witnessed a distinct divergence. However, in February 2007, Marie Huet, captivated by the house’s compelling history and enamored with the precious d’Orsay fragrances, acquired the company. Thanks to Marie’s passion, d’Orsay fragrances have garnered international recognition, expanding their presence beyond the borders of their native France.
With a substantial collection of 43 perfumes in their fragrance base, the esteemed designer, D’ORSAY, boasts an illustrious heritage. The perfume house dates back to 1830, with their most recent creation stemming from 2023.
