Dolce&Gabanna is a renowned luxury fashion house originating from Italy. Founded in 1985 by Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, the brand made an immediate impact with its flashy and alluring clothing. Notably, their signature “corset dresses” became an instant sensation. Accompanied by provocative advertising, the fashion house quickly gained fame and earned the loyalty of esteemed celebrity customers, including Madonna. It is worth mentioning that Madonna not only wears Dolce&Gabanna’s fashions offstage but has also enlisted the brand to design costumes for her performances.
The fashion house operates under two distinct brands, each catering to different preferences. Dolce&Gabanna, officially spelled with no spaces, centers around luxury clothing, eyewear, accessories, and perfumes. Meanwhile, their D&G line offers a more relaxed and contemporary range of clothing, watches, and fragrances. Both brands proudly display the recognizable “D&G” logo across many of their products.
In 1992, Dolce&Gabanna introduced their inaugural fragrance, aptly named Dolce&Gabanna for Women. This noteworthy launch was followed by a men’s version in 1994. Over the years, the brand has unveiled a series of fragrances, with their Light Blue line becoming one of the most successful offerings for both men and women. In 2009, the D&G line even released the Anthology series of fragrances, drawing inspiration from tarot cards and featuring some of the most influential figures in the fashion industry as its ambassadors.
With an impressive collection of perfumes, designer Dolce&Gabanna has created a total of 110 fragrances as part of their fragrance base. The earliest edition dates back to 1992, and the most recent addition hails from 2023.
