Cyrus Harvey laid the foundation of the company in 1972 as a modest family enterprise in Cambridge, MA (USA), specializing in luxury soap offerings from around the globe. At that time, the concept of botanical beauty was still relatively novel, prompting the company to diversify its product range to include personal care items infused with the finest botanical essences and enchanting aromas. In 1977, Crabtree & Evelyn proudly inaugurated its first boutique in Philadelphia.

This divine Evelyn Rose ultimately became the centerpiece of Crabtree & Evelyn’s renowned “Evelyn Rose” fragrance and body care line, blended artfully with subtle green accords, peony, and a hint of peach.
