John Blocki was a renowned perfumer and cosmetics creator during the 19th century. Born in Prussia, he relocated to the United States as a child alongside his parents. Demonstrating a natural talent for perfumery and scented creations at an early age, Blocki’s passion propelled him from local pharmacies in Chicago to owning his own prestigious shop on the iconic Michigan Avenue. His specialization in perfumes propelled him to great success.

One of Blocki’s notable contributions to the fragrance industry was his innovative approach to perfume packaging. In 1907, he obtained a patent for his groundbreaking method of preserving a flower within a perfume bottle. This achievement not only showcased his artistic vision but also secured his position as a leader in the trade. Fast forward to the 21st century, Blocki’s legacy lives on through his great-great grandson and his wife. In 2015, on the momentous occasion of the original Blocki perfumery’s 150th anniversary, Blocki Perfumes was relaunched with a collection of three exceptional fragrances inspired by the writings of John S. Blocki’s mother, Emma Blocki.

Presently, as a new fragrance brand, Blocki has introduced a captivating range of eight perfumes to the fragrance base. Each fragrance is meticulously crafted, boasting a unique olfactory experience.
